The Lemonade Diet
The Lemonade diet, devised by Stanley Burroughs in 1976, is also dubbed as the master cleanse due to its ability to thoroughly expel the intestine of all toxins and pollutants that can lead to congestion and disease. It is also proposed to purify the kidneys and glands, to rid all hardened waste materials from the joints and muscles, assimilate essential nu
trients into cells and form a pure, free flowing bloodstream. As many have been using the lemonade diet for well over 40 years, it would barely be classified as another fad diet.
The lemonade diet involves drinking a remedy mixture of 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoons of cayenne pepper in a glass of filtered water. This is consumed 6 to 10 times for a period of 10 days. Peppermint or laxative tea may also be consumed every morning and night. All other foods and drinks are avoided during this time (click here

Those who adhere to the lemonade diet for the stipulated time frame may also experience considerable weight loss as energy levels are boosted and additionally a substantially low number of calories are consumed. Many eminent Hollywood celebrities have applauded the lemonade diet for their rapid transformation into a slimmer figure. Beyonce Knowles, for instance, has asserted that she shed 20 pounds following the lemonade diet for 14 days, just before she was casted for her role in the Dreamgirls movie.
During the weeks progressing to your scheduled lemonade diet plan, it is important to cut back on the number of calories you are ingesting as you may experience intense hunger pangs during the lemonade diet that may compromise your ability to carry out the complete plan. It is also recommended to restrict the lemonade diet to no longer than 40 days as it does not deliver all the essential nutrients to maintain health. For this reason, pregnant or breast-feeding women and developing children and adolescents should not implement the lemonade diet plan. As weight loss is only temporary, a healthy eating and exercise regime should thereafter be followed to maintain results.
