The Cambridge Diet
The Cambridge diet is substantially low in fat and calories and has been internationally acclaimed to shed unwanted body weight quickly and effectively. With the current market bombarded with assorted diets every year all claiming to serve the same purpose, it is difficult to select which one would be the most efficient. On the other hand, the Cambridge diet has been in use since the 1980s which implies that it carried guaranteed successful results for millions for multiple decades.
After administering the powdered form containing no more than 330 calories to obese patients at weight loss clinics for one month, the results were astonishing. After only three weeks, cholesterol levels decreased by 21%, triglycerides reduced by 41% and serum lipids in hyperglycaemic patients were normalized. Mean weight loss ranged from 16 to 20 pounds after the four week period. Dehydration or cardiac dysfunction association with electrolyte depletion was not witnessed as the diet consisted of all the necessary minerals such as magnesium, sodium and potassium. Other side-effects such as headaches, dizziness, nausea or bloatiness were not encountered. Subsequent studies only served to reiterate these promising findings
There are many misconceptions that the Cambridge diet is just another one of those many fad diets. In contrast, the Cambridge diet is endorsed by renowned medical authorities and is formulated for success with the optimal quantities of essential nutrients as per the recommendations set by the US Academy of Science. It is a fact that most other diets are deprived of some types of nutrients so one feels worn out by the end of the day. Additionally, as the Cambridge diet involves a long-term plan and does not promise any unrealistic weight loss overnight, it adds to its reputability and enables one to maintain the habit of healthy eating. Furthermore, it serves to suppress an excessive appetite associated with constant cravings for food high in unsaturated fat and sugar even after their weight margin is met. However, it is important to recall that appropriate levels of exercise must be accompanied with the Cambridge diet.
