Massive Triceps


Want some massive triceps? Well, here are some important tips you should know to maximize your result (if you're looking for workouts click here):

1.    Eat More

In order to get massive triceps, you need to eat big. An excess of calories is needed, without it no muscle mass gain will be possible. The idea here is to eat more to get massive triceps without putting a lot of fats, so obviously you should stay away from unhealthy fats, instead eat more proteins or protein supplements (powders, bars, ready-to-drink) to build muscle, essential and healthy fats (EFA) or EFA supplements and healthy carbs like veggies, fruits and whole grain products for energy. Also you need to drink enough water as your body needs a lot of it to function properly (at least 8 8-ounces glasses of water per day).

2.    Get Enough Rest

Allowing your body adequate rest time is a must if masive triceps is what you're looking for. Failure to do so will not only sabotage your success but drain your motivation. Remember that your muscles building and repairing happens while you're resting, so it makes sense to get enough rest otherwise no massive triceps will be seen.

3.    Avoid Overtraining

One of the most important reasons why people don’t get  massive triceps is overtraining (learn more here). Not only triceps are a small muscle that tire easily, but they take part on many chest and shoulders exercises, that’s why we recommend training them no more than once or twice a week, and never when they’re still sore (aim for 2 or 3 days of resting between 2 workouts).

4.    Going Heavy

Getting massive triceps usually requires heavy weights lifting at low reps (make sure to stretch your muscle before handling the weights).

 5.    Don't Train Triceps With Chest

Well, many people like to work these two muscles together, and they still get good results. However, separating them will allow you to go heavier on your triceps and shock them into new growth. Anyway, it is always better to try both approaches and see what works best for you.

6.    Perform The Right Exercises, The Right Way

Choosing the right exercises (isolation and compound) is important. Making sure to perform the exercises the proper way is also a must if you want to get full benefit from your workout.

7.    Change Your Routine

In order to get massive triceps, you need to keep on shocking your muscle into new growth (avoid hitting a plateau). This can be done by changing your workout routine often to confuse your muscle (changing exercises selection, order…will do the trick).

8.    Don't Neglect The Forearms

Training your forearms will allow you to handle heavier weights and heavier weights usually mean greater hypertrophy. Make sure to work your biceps as well.
